Three new Enviro-weather stations online

Enviro-weather stations have been added in Mecosta, Kalkaska and Gaylord, Mich., bringing the total number of stations to 67.

We are proud to announce that the Michigan Enviro-weather station network has expanded to 67. Thanks to funding obtained by the Michigan Potato Industry Commission (MPIC), Enviro-weather has added stations in Mecosta (hosted at Sackett Potatoes), Kalkaska (hosted at Iott Seed Farm) and Gaylord (hosted by Estelle Farms).

These new stations will fill some geographical “holes” in weather station coverage, and we are grateful to the station hosts and to the MPIC and MSU potato specialist Chris Long for their efforts in obtaining funding for these stations.
